One week summer camp in Japan

5 days, 35 hours of judo. Many countries, many meetings. A lot of fun but also thoughts kicking in.

Freedom is when you can go somewhere by yourself, do something you enjoy by yourself, eat by yourself, have a drink by yourself, enjoy your own company, not needing to know there is someone who waits for you at home. Freedom is being able to face yourself alone, days or nights.

Free aren’t the people who aspire to be alone during the day but expect a spouse to wait for them nights. The latter isn’t freedom. It’s even the opposite. It’s the fear of the void when the darkness surrounds the world. It’s the insuffisance of one’s own light and the need of another human being to fill up the void and lighten the darkness.

The one who is free is the one with enough light within himself. And to do so, one must be able to love oneself. Loving yourself is knowing exactly where you stand and having the decency for yourself of not trying to fit in places too small for you, with people morally and intellectually unfit to you. Loving yourself is knowing your boundaries, your worth, and not letting anyone below it trying to make you doubt your reality. Loving yourself means you know yourself well enough to not seek the presence of people who don’t inspire you and don’t bring you anything morally, intellectually or spiritually.

Loving yourself is being able to love others and being open to new meetings, new friends and new starts. It’s letting go of anyone not ready to love you at your right value.

Loving yourself is the most powerful act you can do. And that’s when you start to attract people right to you with the same mindsets, intellect, and morals.

Loving yourself is the first step of self growth and the cornerstone of freedom.
And when you love yourself, nothing can stop you.

One week and a mindset reset.
